This post is pretty straight-forward: the reason why this blog was created.
Well, this blog is meant to go hand-in-hand with the forum of the same name, Sensibility & Ambition. Sensibility & Ambition, for those of you who do not know, is a roleplaying forum hosted on JCink for those of us fans of the English Regency (spanning 1810+). We take on original characters and simply play out their lives and tribulations within the confines of Regency society and rules. While this is nice and all, why the need for a blog?
Well, I would absolutely LOVE to be able to link related material here, rather than spam up the forums. I hope to include things such as:
- Historical information in the form of articles, written by myself
- Historical information written by others, linked here for further reading
- Regency-themed books, movies, mini-series, tv shows, and documentaries
- Random items being sold with a Regency theme
- Tutorials on how to re-create items from the Regency
- General RP tutorials
- Changes, updates, and important information regarding the forum in general and the community specifically
- And anything else that feels like it might be relevant to our RP and English Regency society
